Day 118

Image

It snowed last night..it wasn’t the kind of heavy snow that would allow you to make snow man or play snow ball fights, but.. it was the first time that I experience walking on snow…it wasn;t ice as it wasn’t hard enough, but it definitely was an unmistakable layer…^^

Day 61

Self Portrait

Been feeling a bit low lately and Stressed…

I was trying to figure out why was I down when I don’t see any reason to it, and after talking to Tay, I realised, it was because, there is too much restriction here, restricting me from being myself.

I am a person who loves freedom and enjoy doing what I like to do ( of course, I do think before I act)…yet, that is not the case here. When I was in IMU, I had a limited amount of allowance too, but then, things there were way cheaper, and as it was close to KK, I was able to get most of my stuff from home or get it during my mum ‘s visits. In IMU, we had 2 hours lecture a day, and the next 22 hours is scheduled according to our preference and own liking, a. K. a. freedom. In IMU, the park was nearby, there is a swimming pool in Vista, there is gym in the school, university was less than 5 minutes walk from home, etc etc….

Yet here, I am restricted in Shopping, I have only 6 hours to myself which includes dinner, studying, bathing and procrastination. The rest of the time are well planned for lectures and clinical session, even my sleep time and wake up time is calculated to make sure I have a minimum of 5 hour sleep a day…school is > 15 minutes walk away, it’s cold here, I have to pay £3 per entry to play badminton, and to use the gym and swimming pool I have to pay £128 to become and gym member, and don’t even get my started on food and friends and family…><…

But, I am ok now…just felt like writing this as I am surprised that I did not notice this, I knew I wasn’t coping well and I knew there was something holding me back, but I haven’t been able to pin point it, yet, it’s such a simple reason, restriction…

^^…well, now that I know the cause, hopefully I can solve them soon as symptomatic treatment is no cure.^^

Day 60

Feels like my knowledge have fallen out of it’s frame…><…still there, but makes no sense…><

My first real interview with Patient with Mental Illnes… it was different. My history taking skill shave always been all around the place, and messy, but this…

My lady wasn’t nasty, in fact, my partner and I had gotten a really cheerful and outspoken lady, but it was different in the sence that when we heard her side of story, we immediately took pity and felt sorry for her, and when we talked to the staff, we realise, half of the stuff she told us was real to her, but  not in reality..and apparently there is a specific word to describe it…but..T.T…I don’t remember it now~~

Tay and Naj ( one of his closer friend) was initially scheduled in a different place for this session but due to some reason, both our group combined, and we went to the same rest home. However, he got a lady with a more severe dementia and they had a hard time asking her question as the lady (90 ++ in age) though she was in her late teens and early twenties…

Hmm…different~

Day 56

Found this on an interesting web site….

Sorry..let me rephrase…found this interesting picture on a website. Before you judge and make any conclusion that any one’s suffering is justifiable, read this, and think that how you would feel if this happens to you. Don’t judge when you don’t want to be judge.!!!!

Day 55

20111202-232814.jpg

This was taken with my friend’s Samsung Galaxy, 8 megapixel…this is without editing…nt bad eh??

Today was my last day in Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, Portsmouth…T.T…*sob sob…that was such a nice place!!! And I spent a whole hour to have a last shop in the Tesco on the way home with Hui..haha, what crazy people will do eh?

I went to the HIVe concert in the evening to accompany Su.C to support Jade in her choir performance…the atmosphere was really nice and it reminded me all those time I had in Wings with MicMic, Ming.Y, and New…somehow, I do wish to relive it again, at least once, all those times, when I take trains with MicMic to Times Square, or when Ming.Y , New and I studied in Wings, ordering the same set meal over and over each time, while listening to Mic’s singing…

I miss those times in IMU…

Day 54

My air-parcel from home…I had waited for a month for it
( which includes 2 weeks of not knowing it had arrived at the reception…><)
~Ah~ my early Christmas Present.^^

My initial plan was to take picture or Cosham, Portsmouth where I have been posted for 4 weeks, yet, due to the sudden change of plan ( I initially though that today we would just have teaching, but since I had my assessment on Monday, today’s session was given to Group A for their assessment) I decided not to.

I saw a Lower Section Caesarian Section today and…It was actually less messy than the normal SVDs…well, the weirdest part was when they cut through the abdominal, the water sprayed out through the small hole, and then…when the baby was delivered, while they were stitching up…the mum and the dad  were busy playing with the daughter when the doctors were still stitching her womb. It is weird as when you are with the parents, you just go “Awww~~ so sweet”…and when you look at the docs you will be like” Urghh~~one step wrong and all goes bad”. It made me think if I would do an elective LSCS for my baby in the future or would I opt for SVD…and my answer is, I don’t know. I wonder how does a pregnant lady feel about this? *deep in thoughs* Hmmm~~

I was offered a ride back by one of my batch mate Amy, and too bad Hui didn’t get to join us as we thought she went home . (still feel awfully sorry , especially when I got her message while I am in the car…><…Urgh) It was a fun ride home with Amy and Charlotte as we talk about random stuff and to conclude for now, it is quite a pleasant and simple nice day today^^.

Day 53

Given to my by Tay on the same day…
Too bad no pure dark choc as we both love that better
but still a nice present^^

We just celebrated Su.C’s Bday..^^ It was a quick and simple one as every one is busy with attachment and posting. So, I purposely left one of my book in her place the day before and asked to collect it when everyone gathered outside her house…^^…

Haha, my oh my wasn’t she surprised!!^^…as expected..she was dressed in her usual house cloths and had her hair up in a casual pony tail. Everyone was mean when she open the door and while she is still shocked, everyone just casually walk pass her singing birthday song while heading towards the kitchen ( to light the candles as there was smoke detectors around the door and corridor)…

The whole thing lasted around an hour, but it was a good hour as there was about only12 people and small gathering usually means less people get left out though unfortunately some was still more silent …but everyone did had a nice chat with each other and had a few laughs too.

Happy Birthday ,Girl.!!!^^
